How to install IBO Player Pro on Android TV or an Android TV box
Install IBO Player Pro from the Google Play Store on your Android TV, Google TV or TV box, open the Account screen, and send us your MAC Address and Device Key on WhatsApp.
This covers Android TV / Google TV built into a TV (Sony, TCL, Philips, Hisense) and Android TV boxes (NVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi, and generic boxes). It does not cover Android phones or tablets — those have their own guide.
What you'll do: install IBO Player Pro from Google Play → open the Account screen → send us your MAC Address and Device Key on WhatsApp → restart. Wire the device with Ethernet if it has a port.
Step 1 — Open the Google Play Store
From the home screen, open the Google Play Store (the coloured triangle). Sign in if prompted.
Step 2 — Install IBO Player Pro
- Use the search and type IBO Player Pro.
- Select the app (it may also show as IboPro Player), check the reviews look genuine, and choose Install.
- Select Open.
Not in the Play Store on your device? Some generic boxes ship with a limited store. Message us your device make/model — we'll give you a verified way to install it (or the official APK https://iboproapp.com/ibopro.apk) or recommend a better box.
Step 3 — Open the Account screen and find your two codes
Launch the app and open Account. Note:
- MAC Address —
AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF - Device Key — a short code on the same screen
Copy both exactly as the app shows them. Don't use the device's network MAC from Settings — use the app's. Keep the Device Key private.
Step 4 — Send your MAC Address & Device Key
Step 5 — Restart and choose your playlist
- Close the app fully — open recent apps and remove it, or reboot the device.
- Reopen IBO Player Pro.
- Choose Continue, then Change Playlists if prompted, and select your playlist.
- Your channels load. Our team adds your authorized playlist to your device and handles activation while you're on WhatsApp — usually within a few minutes during support hours.
Getting the best picture
- Wire it. If the box or TV has an Ethernet port, use it — the biggest single improvement for live sport.
- In the app's settings, set the decoder to hardware / HW+.
- On a cheap box, don't run several heavy apps at once; clear the app's cache monthly.

Android TV and Google TV models from brands like Sony, TCL, Philips and Hisense, NVIDIA Shield where supported, and generic Android TV boxes. Compatibility isn't guaranteed on every model — if the app is missing, contact us.
Do I need to sideload anything?
Usually not — IBO Player Pro is in the Google Play Store on most Android TV devices. If it's genuinely unavailable on yours, contact us. Don't install APKs from unknown websites; the official link is iboproapp.com/ibopro.apk.
Where's the MAC Address and Device Key?
Open IBO Player Pro and go to the Account screen. It shows both. Copy them exactly as the app displays them.
The box keeps freezing.
Cheap boxes are often underpowered. Use a wired Ethernet connection, set the player's decoder to hardware, and clear its cache monthly. A better box (NVIDIA Shield, Google TV Streamer) fixes it for good.
