Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and the choices you have — written for Canada's PIPEDA.
Placeholder for legal review. This policy is a solid starting point aligned with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Confirm the list of processors you actually use, your retention periods and your entity details with a privacy professional before publishing.

- We do not sell your personal information.
- Card payments are handled by PCI-compliant payment processors; we never see or store full card numbers.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Who is responsible
IPTVSMART, operator of iptvsmart.ca, is the organisation responsible for personal information handled through this site (registered name and address to be inserted). Our privacy contact is support@iptvsmart.ca.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, email, WhatsApp/phone (if you give it) | Create and deliver your subscription, provide support |
| Transaction | Plan purchased, amount, date, partial payment reference | Accounting, fraud prevention, refunds |
| Support | Messages you send us and our replies | Answer and improve support |
| Technical | IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, referring page | Security, abuse prevention, aggregate analytics |
We do not ask for or want government ID, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
3. How we use it
We use your information to: process payments and activate subscriptions; send service email (login details, renewal reminders, important notices); provide customer support; prevent fraud and abuse; meet legal and tax obligations; and understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. With your consent we may send occasional product news; you can opt out at any time.
4. Legal basis / consent
Under PIPEDA we rely on your consent, which you give by providing information and using the service, and on our need to fulfil the contract with you and to meet legal obligations. You may withdraw consent (subject to legal and contractual limits) by contacting us; doing so may mean we can no longer provide the service.
5. Sharing and processors
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, under contract and only as needed:
- Payment processors — to take payment (they receive your name, email and payment details directly).
- Email / messaging providers — to send service messages.
- Hosting and infrastructure — this site is hosted by our web host on servers used to serve the pages you request.
- Analytics — privacy-respecting, aggregate usage measurement, where enabled.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or us. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
6. International transfers
Some processors may store or process data outside your province or outside Canada (for example in the United States or the EU). Where that happens, the information remains subject to this policy and to contractual safeguards, and may be accessible to courts and authorities in those countries.
7. Retention
We keep transaction records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally six to seven years). Support messages are kept while useful for support and then deleted or anonymised. Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and a data-minimisation approach. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the appropriate authorities of a breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, as required by law.
9. Cookies
The site uses only what is needed to function and, if enabled, a privacy-respecting analytics script that does not use cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser's "do not track" and cookie controls are respected where applicable. If we introduce non-essential cookies we will ask for consent first.
10. Your rights
You may ask us to: confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy; correct inaccurate information; delete information we no longer need; or stop sending you marketing. Email support@iptvsmart.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or your provincial privacy regulator.
11. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
12. Contact
