Copyright & DMCA Notice

How rights holders can send a copyright notice, and how IPTVSMART responds.

Our position

IPTVSMART respects the rights of copyright owners and expects its customers to do the same, as set out in our Acceptable Use Policy. We respond to complete, good-faith notices and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Sending a notice

Email support@iptvsmart.ca with the subject line "Copyright notice". A valid notice must include:

  1. Your full name, organisation and contact details.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work or works concerned.
  3. A precise description of the material you say is infringing and where it appears (URLs, channel names, timestamps).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices slow things down; please include everything above.

What we do

On receiving a valid notice we will act expeditiously to disable or remove access to the identified material where it is within our control, forward the notice to the relevant account holder where the law requires (notice-and-notice), and, for repeat or egregious cases, suspend or terminate the account.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed in error, send a counter-notice to the same address including: your contact details, identification of the removed material and its previous location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the material if we do not receive notice of legal action within a reasonable period.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that are the subject of repeated, valid notices will be terminated without refund.

Misuse

Knowingly sending a false notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages and costs.
