IPTV on Apple TV
A premium, stable experience once set up. You'll pay a few dollars for a good player app, and everything comes from the App Store — no side-loading.
Apple TV gives you the most polished IPTV experience on a big screen — smooth scrolling, fast channel changes, good HDR — provided you're on reasonably current hardware and don't mind paying for a quality player.

There's no side-loading on Apple TV, so you use a player from the App Store. The good ones (for example a paid "Pro" IPTV player) cost a one-time few dollars or a small subscription — worth it for the interface. Your welcome email names the current recommendation.

- Apple TV on tvOS 15+ and on your network (Ethernet on the 4K models is ideal).
- A player app from the tvOS App Store.
- Your IPTVSMART server URL, username and password.
Installing (overview)
- Install the recommended player from the App Store.
- Choose add playlist → Xtream Codes / M3U login and enter your server URL, username and password.
- Some players let you sign in on your iPhone and sync the playlist to Apple TV automatically — the fastest route if you also use iPhone or iPad.
- Wait for the guide to populate, then arrange Favourites.

Performance tips
- Use the Ethernet port on Apple TV 4K for live sports.
- In the player, enable hardware decoding and match the output to your TV (4K SDR/HDR as appropriate).
- If a channel tears or drops HDR, try the player's "alternative decoder" option for that channel.
